Cachet oficial de la base Orcadas aplicado erróneamente como matasellos, al que se le agregó
la fecha en la cuál fue aplicado con un sello fechador manual (06 FEB. 2006)
Los sobres obliterados con este matasellos fueron avalados con una marca postal del Correo Argentino
que lleva la siguiente leyenda: SOBRES DEVUELTOS DE LA ANTARTIDA ARGENTINA APLICACIÓN
ERRÓNEA MARCA BASE ORCADAS (23 x 23 mm.). Además, están certificados con la firma

y sello aclaratorio del Comandante del rompehielos A.R.A. “Almirante Irizar”

Official mark of Orcadas base applied erroneously as datestamp, to which was added with a
manual seal the date in which it was applied.
The covers obliterated with this datestamp were endorsed with a postmark of the Argentine Post Office that has the

following legend: Envelopes returned from Antartida Argentina. Orcadas Base mark wronly applied (23 x 23 mm.)

. Also, they are certified with the signature and explanatory seal of the Commander of the
A.R.A. "Admiral Irizar" icebreaker
